My parents have lived in the same house for 23 yrs. Although it is full of wonderful memories, it needed a face-lift. This is the before picture of our living room taken at Christmas....
This is the after picture from this weekend.....
This is a pic of Lacie and I at work yesterday. She was my college roommate and we now work together! I love seing her face everyday!

When it rain's it pours.
It is currently raining outside. It's almost 11pm and I really should get to bed. Sometimes I just don't want the weekend to be over and I prolong it as much as I can. (I will of course, regret my decision tomorrow at 4:45am.) I love the rain. I really should move to Seattle. It's so romantic and soothing. (The rain, not Seattle).
Hobby Lobby has to be my favorite decorating store. They always have some sort of 50% off sale going on. This weekend I went and got this huge collage frame and one other frame for half off! Amazing! Since I am a major picture taker now I figure I'd better start putting some pictures I have taken into some frames. The only problem is, when I got them home I noticed there is no way to hang the picture on the wall. I will have to find an attatchment I can put on the back somehow.
I also got 3 more crosses to add to my cross wall! They too were 50% off. I'm tellin' you people... rarely am I a big spender, but if I find something I like AND it's on sale, babe watch out!!! Of course our apartment is pretty old and I am dying without the ability to paint my walls so I am trying to do as much as I can to make it feel like a home.
PS:
VENT SESSION- An adult said something very judgmental and rude to my husband at church today, right to his face. We were both really surprised at what he said and hurt by it. I am sure he wasn't thinking but it made me want to call him up after we got home and chew him out, especially since he is a leader in our church. I am sure in my lifetime I, as a Christian have said something hurtful to another Christian and that makes me think. I really need to watch the words that come out of my mouth. Christians aren't perfect, believe me I know, but it is very important that we choose our words carefully. They can have a lasting impact on another person, whether good or bad.
Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips. - Psalm 141:3

Why I love Saturdays
This is why I love Saturdays. I slept in till 0730 this morning (yes thats sleeping in, I usually get up at 0445!) Matt and I went to IHOP for breakfast. We split a huge cheese and meat filled omelet, hash browns and pancakes!! Then we saw 10,000 BC at like 10:00 in the morning!! It was a new release and no one was there! We got our favorite seats. Matt even stretched out over 4 seats for part of the movie!! It was great, that never happens, especially at the Parks theater. After the movie Matt came home and fell right into bed. (He had played World of Warcraft all night long and had not gone to bed yet. ) I on the other hand, prepared to catch up on all of my taped shows for the past two weeks. ( Lost, America's next top Model, etc) I snuggled up on the couch with a couple pillows and a fleece blanket and vegged out for a few hours. Very nice and peaceful. I like not sleeping in till noon cause I fell like my one day without anything to do is over too quickly. Matt on the other hand is nocturnal and hardly ever sleeps at night. I however can not sleep when it's light out, funny how God brings people together who are opposites.
On another note, I am happy to announce that after much prayer, Matt will begin Pilot training on May 5th. It costs a great deal of money but the Lord has allowed our bank loan to be fully approved. In my opinion, an education is priceless. Flight school will last till sometime in September. Then our big prayer will be for him to find a job so he can build up his flying hours and be able to fly commercially. Maybe by this time next year we will be in a house!! I pray an early prayer that the Lord direct and guide us in such a big decision! Here is a picture of a house in Dallas that I've had my eye on. It's a tad out of our price range but my fingers are crossed.... (It's only 1.3 million!)
Young Life is going awesome. Matt and I have been involved in helping lead the Mansfield YL Club for 8 months now! It has been such a blessing and a great opportunity for us to grow and be missionaries in our own community. The reason we decided to do YL is primarily because all of our best friends from high school are involved in it so it made getting involved doubly fun! Here are some pictures from last weeks club. We all work together really well together!
